with his upbringing in a family of builders on fruit farm in northern NSW. From there Ryan has worked in retail management, occupational health and safety and over 18 years in the Aquaculture and Plastic industry. This experience provides a sound background to manage the manufacturing and installation and general business activities. Ryan’s skills in plastics, metal and composite material design and fabrication provide the ability for in-house production of all kinds. Ryan has been involved in many aquaculture re-circulation system installations both locally in Australia and overseas. Ryan’s position involves aspects from project management, design, construction, planning, logistics and development of new and innovative products to the aquatic industry.
Lindsay Hopper (M.App.Sci.Aqua)
heading on a path via agricultural college where he would discover his life’s passion in aquaculture (that and sport of course). Since then Lindsay has been involved with the aquaculture industry for over 26 years including completion of a Masters of Applied Science in Aquaculture at the University of Tasmania. Lindsay as a director of Pure Aquatics is involved with all aspects of the business and works closely with industry and research institutions, both nationally and internationally, with experience including re-circulation system design, project management, installations, engineering, sizing, applying and general aquatic consultancy as well as product development. His work covers virtually the entire industry, including most of the commercially grown species in Australia and overseas, hatchery, grow out (indoor and outdoor) and the live seafood holding and public aquarium fields. Lindsay’s position also involves the acquisition of products by working closely with our overseas manufacturers and suppliers. Lindsay represents Pure Aquatics at conferences and trade shows on a national and international level and has forged strong business and personal relationships throughout the industry.

a wide range of aquatic related applications. Growing up and living on the Hastings river on the Mid North Coast of NSW he developed a passion for fishing and everything aquatic. Gareth started his journey with fish in his early teenage years, breeding many different species of aquarium fish which then evolved into a career in Aquarium and Aquaculture design and consultation where his skill set is invaluable.
Gareth’s specialities are in filtration and aquaculture system sizing and design, water chemistry, an almost infinite product knowledge, aquatic research and development, biological water remediation and aeration system design to list a few, and much more.
His role at Pure Aquatics covers everything from sales to system design and most importantly, customer technical support and assistance.
