Pressurised Porous Media Filter

The PPM filter is a new style of filter developed by Pure Aquatics in Port Macquarie. Utilising high-quality sand filter hulls, we carry out several modifications allowing the use of specialised sinking media with incredibly high surface area for superior mechanical and biological filtration in one unit. 

With the use of open cell media, sand filters can now be used in aquaculture and aquarium applications with reliability and higher nitrification rates and waste holding capacities than ever before.
